I first tried El charro in 1989. We had gone on a Friday. I couldn’t figure out why servers were wearing T shirts that looked like Campbell soup cans. Turns out the greatest tomato soup ever was served there on Friday nights. Until that moment I tasted it I hadn’t really cared for tomato soup, after that first time I’m a true believer in tomato soup, none compare to El Charros’ recipe though, oh and now my favorite dish is the carne seca plate. I also miss Curley and the others walking around and singing and playing music for all to enjoy. Congratulations on 100 years and another 100.
